  • Identify areas to highlight during the nutrition assessment of patients with EDS.
  • Explain why parenteral and enteral nutrition are ideally avoided in patients with EDS.
  • Describe strategies to avoid parenteral and enteral nutrition in patients with EDS, and how to decide when it’s necessary.
Presentation 2
  • Summarize the patient experience of living with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, including the impact of medical gaslighting.
  • Identify common clinical behaviors and biases that contribute to gaslighting in patients with complex conditions.
  • Integrate patient-centered strategies to improve recognition and management of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
